Immanuel Lutheran Church welcomes Rev. Christopher Ramstad as our new Pastor! (Installation Service on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 4:00 pm — All are welcome!) Pastor Chris comes to us from Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus, Nebraska, where he has served as Associate Pastor for the past five years. Dr. Glenn Coltharp
Immanuel Lutheran Church and Martin Luther School thanks God for our interim principal, Dr. Glenn Coltharp. Well-known and respected in the community, with a wealth of experience and expertise, Dr. Coltharp has served many Joplin area educational institutions over the last 40+ years as a classroom teacher, elementary school principal and superintendent; a dean at the university level, and as a college president. Jason Glaskey
Jason Glaskey has been serving Immanuel as Minister to Youth & Families since 2008. Born and raised in the Southeast Missouri town of Ironton, he started his college career at Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, Missouri. Jason quickly found himself attending church at Immanuel-Joplin, then helping with Youth Ministry, Sunday School, and singing in the choir. Kimberly Johnson
Kimberly Johnson has been serving God in our church office since 1984! Originally from Lowell, Indiana, she has called Joplin and Immanuel Lutheran Church home for most of her life. Besides being responsible for all of Immanuel’s print publications and being the friendly voice you hear on the phone, Kimberly oversees much of the day-to-day operation of the church office. Ron Repplinger
Ron Repplinger is our Head Elder for the 2023 term. Mr. Repplinger is a multi-generational member of Immanuel and a life-long Joplin resident who remembers fondly the “old church” at 9th and Moffet near downtown Joplin. Ron and his wife Carole have served Immanuel together in a variety of ways over the years. He is retired from a 43 year career at Eagle-Picher Industries, and now enjoys playing a lot more golf, spending time fishing, and enjoying his grandchildren.
Dan Hueller
Daniel Hueller is our Congregation President for the 2023 term. Originally from Wisconsin, Dan and his wife Jeni are long-time residents of Joplin. Now the principal at Seneca High School, Dan started his teaching career at Immanuel’s Martin Luther School in the 1990’s before earning his degree in school administration and serving as principal at Joplin High School.
