Pastor and Staff — Immanuel Lutheran Church, Joplin MO

Immanuel’s ministry is guided by a three-person leadership team: Pastor Christopher Ramstad, who preaches and administers the sacraments; Jason Glaskey, Director of Christian Education (DCE), overseeing youth ministry, family ministry, and congregational programming; and Principal Mollie Ramstad, who leads Martin Luther School — Immanuel’s PreK–8th grade Lutheran day school. Together, the three serve as the ministry leadership team over all congregational and school ministries at Immanuel.

We worship Sundays at 8:00 am and 10:30 am at 2616 S Connecticut Ave, Joplin, MO 64804. All are welcome.

Chris Ramstad

Pastor Christopher Ramstad has served as Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Joplin, Missouri since September 2023 — an ordained LCMS minister, MDiv Concordia Seminary 2018, and recognized School Shepherd of Martin Luther School. He leads Immanuel’s Word and Sacrament ministry alongside DCE Jason Glaskey and Principal Mollie Ramstad.

Jason Glaskey has been serving Immanuel as Minister to Youth & Families since 2008. Mollie Ramstad

Principal Mollie Ramstad leads Martin Luther School in Joplin, MO — a graduate of Concordia University–Nebraska with a BS in Elementary and Music Education (2010) and a Master’s in School Administration (2024). Under her leadership the school achieved full LCMS accreditation with 8 Strengths and 0 Deficiencies. She serves as part of Immanuel’s three-person ministry leadership team alongside Pastor Christopher Ramstad and DCE Jason Glaskey.

Kimberly Johnson

Kimberly Johnson has been serving God in our church office since 1984 — making her one of the longest-serving members of the Immanuel family. Originally from Lowell, Indiana, she has called Joplin and Immanuel Lutheran Church home for most of her life. Besides being responsible for all of Immanuel’s print publications and being the friendly voice you hear on the phone, Kimberly oversees much of the day-to-day operation of the church office. Mrs. Betty Lingenfelter has served Immanuel Lutheran Church and Martin Luther School faithfully for decades — as a teacher, school board member, and now as the congregation’s organist. Her love for music carries her ministry forward at the organ bench, accompanying the Divine Service and the song of the congregation Sunday after Sunday.

Christopher Killebrew serves as Chief Elder of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Joplin, MO.
