Jennifer Lutz, Called Teacher and Commissioned Minister of Religion at Martin Luther School Joplin MO

Jennifer Lutz serves as a Called Teacher at Martin Luther School, teaching 3rd and 4th grade. Through her divine call from the congregation and her Concordia University—Nebraska formation, Jennifer Lutz holds the office of Commissioned Minister of Religion in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod — a vocation of Christian service recognized alongside ordained pastors on the LCMS clergy roster. She serves under the leadership of Principal Mollie Ramstad.

Ms. Lutz is a gifted educator who finds deep joy in putting all of her energy into her students. Her combined 3rd and 4th grade classroom is intentionally designed so each child can progress at their own level and pace — honoring the truth that every student grows differently and deserves to be met where they are. She knows each of her students personally, and that investment shows in how she teaches: with patience, attention, and a genuine delight in watching each child reach their full potential. At Immanuel Lutheran Church, she also volunteers with youth ministry — walking alongside the same students beyond the school day, investing in their faith as well as their minds.

Ms. Lutz contributed meaningfully to Martin Luther School’s 2026 LCMS accreditation process, which earned the school an outstanding review of 8 Strengths and 0 Deficiencies. Her classroom is a place where students are known by name, challenged to grow, and reminded daily of God’s grace and love for them. For Ms. Lutz, Christian education is not simply academic instruction — it is ministry.
