What should you know about us?
One of the oldest churches in the area, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Joplin has adapted, changed, and grown a lot over the years — yet God has led us to cling firmly to What Matters Most — Jesus Christ and His good gifts of forgiveness, life and salvation.
Immanuel’s pastor is Rev. Chris Ramstad, who has served here since September 2023. He came to Joplin from Columbus, Nebraska. Before his seminary training, Rev. Ramstad and his wife Mollie taught together at a Lutheran school — Mollie now serves as principal of Martin Luther School. The Ramstads have four children. We invite you to get to know our pastor and the rest of the Leadership Team!
Immanuel is committed to serving folks in Joplin and beyond through the efforts of our own Martin Luther School (age 3 through 8th grade), Comfort Dogs, Youth Ministry, Kids Ministry, Disaster Response and Mission Teams, and various other ministries.
