Palm Sunday
Sunday, March 21, 2027: worship at 8:00 am and 10:30 am in the sanctuary
Christian Education Hour (classes for all ages) at 9:15 am
Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter and the first day of Holy Week. It remembers the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem while crowds waved palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna!” Worship often begins with palms and a procession, and many churches also read the story of Jesus’ Passion (His suffering and death; “passion” is an old word for suffering). Some of the palms are saved and burned to make the ashes for next year’s Ash Wednesday.
