What Is Lent?
Lent is the 40-day season before Easter. Christians use these weeks to slow down, pray, turn back to God, and remember what Jesus suffered for us on the way to the cross. It is also a time to think about our own Baptism and what it means to live as a child of God.
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday. At that service, those who wish may receive a small cross of ashes on the forehead, a simple reminder that we need God’s forgiveness. Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) is also offered.
Supper and Worship Every Wednesday
Each Wednesday of Lent starts with a family supper at 5:30 pm in Fellowship Hall. Worship follows at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. Come as you are, straight from work or school. Bring your family and invite a friend.
Do I need to be a member? No. Everyone is welcome at supper and at worship.
