Helping Hand Sunday
The Last Sunday of Every Month
Helping Hand Sunday is how the people of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Joplin reach out to neighbors in need. On the last Sunday of each month, special offering boxes are placed at the doors of the sanctuary, and worshipers are invited to give as they leave. Every gift goes to local Joplin ministries and charities that directly help people in our community who are struggling to make ends meet.
A Partnership for Good
We partner with trusted local charities so that your generosity makes a real, immediate difference right here in Joplin — for Jesus’ sake. Whether it’s food, shelter, utilities, or a hand up in a hard season, Helping Hand Sunday lets our congregation love our neighbors together, one month at a time.
