Good Friday Worship
Friday, March 26, 2027, at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary
Good Friday is the Friday before Easter, the day Jesus was crucified. Christians call it “good” because on the cross Jesus gave His life for the sins of the world, so that we can be forgiven.
Our evening service includes readings from the Passion (the Bible’s account of Jesus’ suffering and death) and special music. It is a quiet, thoughtful hour to remember what Jesus did for you.
Do I need to be a member? No. Everyone is welcome. The service is held in the sanctuary at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2616 S Connecticut Ave, Joplin, MO 64804.
Prayer Vigil Earlier in the Day
The sanctuary is also open for a come-and-go Good Friday Prayer Vigil from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Stop in for a few minutes or stay longer.
