Suffering Servants, A Theme Throughout Scripture
In this year’s Bible Institute Study Series, we will focus on the Biblical theme of Suffering Servants in order to demonstrate how the Old Testament foreshadows the events of the New Testament. This in-depth study is designed to help participants gain a deeper understanding of the Bible.
Over the course of our three week Bible Institute Study, we will discover how the suffering servants are used throughout the Old Testament and in the New Testament to communicate the message of salvation.
Discover how the lives of these suffering servants foreshadow the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Week One: February 18
- The Dreamer – Joseph
- Inside Egypt – Joseph
Week Two: February 25
- Out of Egypt – Moses
- Satan’s Target – Job
Week Three: March 4
- Chosen Leader – David
- Persecuter and Preacher – Paul
Bible Institute will be held on three consecutive Sundays (February 18, 25 and March 4) from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Church Building Fellowship Hall, and will be led by members of our Board of Christian Education and Elders. The class is free and open to the public.
Note: Because of the ice storm and cancelations on the weekend of Feb 10-11, the dates for Bible Institute have been moved ahead one week. The final week is now March 4.
