2026 Lenten Resources

Lenten Resources to Enrich Your Journey

Lent 2026 is the forty day season of the church year leading up to Easter. Beginning with Ash Wednesday (February 18), followers of Jesus use this time of preparation to pray, repent, worship, serve, and reflect on all that Christ has done on our behalf. Lent concludes with Palm Sunday and our Holy Week Observances (March 29-April 5). Easter joy and victory are ours because of Jesus’ life and suffering, death and resurrection on our behalf. We pray that the resources found on this page will enrich your Lenten journey.

O Love, How Deep

Some hymns tell a story, others teach, and still others create pictures in our minds of the great works of God. Some hymns do all three, weaving together a tapestry that is beautiful yet simple, wondrous yet easy to understand. ‘O Love, How Deep’ (LSB544) is that kind of hymn.

Journey through the history and hymn text for “O Love, How Deep” to see the depth, breadth, and height of God’s love for us, His creation. “For us” is encompassed in how God is beyond our comprehension, yet He took on the most accessible form to walk with us. Meditate on this historical hymn throughout the season of Lent to see how God’s love is steady, deep, and has no end.

ENJOY THIS FUN RESOURCE FOR KIDS AND FAMILIES!

In this season of repentance and remembrance, it is good for us to savor the times when we gather together. The recipes and reflections in this devotional booklet encourage those who gather to “taste and see” (Psalm 34:8) that the Lord is good and with us throughout the Lenten season, which is a cause for special celebration.

As Holy Week and Easter approach, immerse yourself and your loved ones in this booklet’s collection of family memories, precious recipes and festive traditions, making room in your hearts, homes and tables for both Jesus and joy during this holiest time of year.

EPHESIANS 3:14-19
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

English Standard Version (ESV)

ROMANS 8:38-39
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
