December 7—December 11 |
This week during Jesus Time we will be learning about the birth of Jesus. The Bible says, “Jesus has been born to you.” Luke 2:11 |
Our theme for the next two weeks is: Christmas Monday– The King is born! Tuesday– Merry Christmas Mom and Dad Thursday– The Christmas Star Friday– Ornaments |
This week we will be working on improving our problem solving and critical thinking skills as we create various art projects. We will still be focusing on learning more about the TRUE meaning of Christmas! We will be talking about colors, counting, and following directions as we create our learning projects. We will also be enjoying a variety of centers during Center Time. We will have a new center open this week: taking care of baby Jesus! The children will be using their social and language skills as they rock, feed, and swaddle baby Jesus just as Mary and Joseph did. You might want to ask your child about our nativity and what they have been learning about the true Christmas story. We will be practicing for our Christmas program on Monday and Tuesday as well.
Please have your child in the Fellowship Room of the church at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8th. This will allow us to get the children lined up in their order before the 7:00 program. After we sing our songs we will be sitting together as a class. After the program you may pick your child up in the Fellowship Room where you dropped them off.
You may bring your wrapped and labeled Christmas presents for the student your child selected at any time. We will be unwrapping these gifts at our Christmas party on Friday, December 18th. |

Our chapel project for December is a food drive. This week we will have another contest with the pre-kindergarten to see who can bring the most sugar and flour. Last time we collected over 27 jars of peanut butter! What a success!!!! |
