This week during Jesus Time we will be learning about Joshua and Jericho. We will also be talking about how God helps us with our problems, especially our sins. The Bible says, “God cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 |

Our theme for the week is: Pasta We will be learning about pasta. Monday– Shape making with pasta Tuesday– Spaghetti art Thursday– Patterning with pasta Friday– No School! Spaghetti Day at Martin Luther– this is one of our biggest fund raisers, we hope to see you either at lunch or dinner and the carnival!

We will be focusing on learning our basic shapes this week. A great way to reinforce this skill at home is to use shape flash cards with your child. You might even want to see if you and your child can find items around your house that are different shapes. We will also be talking about patterning. You can have your child make patterns at home using different color socks, silverware, etc. the sky is the limit! We will once again be enjoying a variety of centers during Center Time. We will be sorting colored pasta and making shapes out of noodles.
Please make sure your child brings a jacket with them each day. It is often cool in the mornings when we go out to play even though it warms up in the afternoon. Don’t forget, The Glow can be read online at www.immanueljoplin.com (click on the school tab). |

Our chapel project for October is Ronald McDonald House. Our Pre-School class has been asked to collect the following items for them: Styrofoam plates and bowls, large and small styrofoam cups, and white 8 1/2 X 11 copy paper (92 brightness).
